Born in Japan, Tokyo, in 1991. I was majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Kansei Engneering in college and graduate school. Now, I am a student of Master of Industrial Design course in Pratt Institute.
My objective is to design everyday products, focusing on the sensory evaluation of their appearance and the tactile impressions they convey to the users. To achieve this, it is imperative to link three crucial skills : design skills including ability to decide on the appearance and functions of products; scientic methods to evaluate users’ impressions of products when users interact with them (Design for Perceived quality or Kansei engineering); technological skills including thermodynamics, material engineering and sensor technologies.
